Knit 2: Your First Beanie!
Designed for students who have completed Knit 1: Foundations, or anyone confident with knit, purl, and cast on, this course introduces you to knitting in the round through a simple, wearable project.
Over two sessions, you’ll knit a cosy beanie while learning:
- how to work from a pattern
- knit in the round using methods such as magic loop,
- apply shaping techniques and finishing
You’ll build confidence reading patterns and understanding how knitted fabric is constructed in the round.
Once the course is completed you'll emerge with a gorgeous hand-knitted beanie! Not only that, you'll have developed the skills to begin exploring more complex circular projects such as garments and accessories.
The class is taught by Zoe, who has many years of experience as both a knitter and a teacher.
Materials included: 2 balls of either Nordica or Merry Merino 140 yarn, 4mm 40cm and 4.00mm 80cm Chiaogoo bamboo circular needles, and stitch markers. Upon booking, choose your yarn colour from the drop down box provided!
