Classes Terms & Conditions

The Small Print

By booking a class, you agree to the following terms. They’re here to keep things clear, fair, and running smoothly for everyone.

Bookings & Payment

• Full payment is required to secure your spot.
• Bookings are first come, first served—no holds without payment.
• All prices are listed in AUD.
• Class fees include materials only where stated.

Classes require a minimum number of students to run. If a class doesn’t meet that minimum, you’ll be offered a full refund or the option to move to another date.

Cancellations & Credits

As class sizes are small, if you need to cancel a class the following cancellation policy applies:

Single-session classes:
• More than 5 business days’ notice: full refund or class credit
• Less than 5 business days’ notice: no refund or credit

Multi-session courses:
• More than 5 business days’ notice: full refund or class credit
• Less than 5 business days’ notice: no refund or credit
• Once the course has started, no refunds or credits are available for remaining sessions

Class credits:
• Valid for 3 months from issue
• Can be used toward any available class
• Not redeemable for cash

Make-Up Classes

If you miss a session in a multi-session course, you may be offered a make-up place in another scheduled class of the same type, subject to availability.

Make-up classes are:
• Not guaranteed
• Dependent on future class availability and space
• Not necessarily delivered in sequence

Private make-up sessions may be offered at an additional cost and are subject to availability. Please discuss make-up classes directly with the teacher.

If We Need to Cancel

We reserve the right to cancel a class if necessary, although this is rare.
If we need to cancel or reschedule a class, you’ll be notified as soon as possible and offered:

• A full refund, or
• A class credit, or
• A place in a rescheduled session

Please note, Maker Maker is not responsible for cancellations or disruptions caused by events outside our control, including extreme weather.

Attendance & Punctuality
• Please arrive on time (or a few minutes early) so we can start together.
• Late arrivals may miss key instructions, and we may not be able to fully catch you up without disrupting the class.
• No partial refunds or credits will be issued for late or missed attendance.

Skill Levels
Each class has a listed skill level or prerequisite—please read these carefully before booking.

If you book into a class that isn’t the right fit, we may suggest moving you to a more suitable session (subject to availability). Refunds aren’t guaranteed in this situation.

Materials
• Materials are included only where specified in the class description.
• If you bring your own yarn or tools, please ensure they’re suitable for the project—we can’t guarantee results otherwise.
• Any purchases made in-store on the day of your class, including purchases not relating to the class, will receive 10% off!

Class Environment
• Classes are small, relaxed, and collaborative—please be respectful of others.
• We reserve the right to refuse or remove anyone behaving in a disruptive or inappropriate way (no refund will be issued).

Health & Safety
By attending, you agree to take responsibility for your own safety while using tools and materials during the class.

Photography
We may occasionally take photos during classes for social media or promotional use. If you’d prefer not to be included, just let us know.
