Dooish
Meet Dooish, our thicker tweed yarn from Spinning Yarns Weaving Tales. Dooish has texture, it has character, and the knitted results are really fun! It is made from 100% wool and is still 'In the Oil' meaning it hasn't been as harshly scoured (washed), leaving most of the lanolin in the yarn and saving a lot of water. This leaves the yarn quite grippy, smelling delightfully sheepy, and as an extra bonus your hands get moisturised as you knit! (Don't worry, it washes out when blocking)
Dooish is a rustic tweed yarn perfect for outer garments to keep the winter cold out. The gauge is quite versatile, and knits up as a thick 8ply yarn all the way up to an Aran 10ply. We recommend you play around with different tensions. It is also a fantastic colourwork yarn for beautiful yoked sweaters, or let the colourful tweed flecks shine on their own!
