Darnie 4ply

Say hello to Darnie, our beautiful 4ply tweed yarn. Brought to us by Spinning Yarns Weaving Tales all the way from Studio Donegal in Ireland, Darnie has texture, it has character, and the knitted results are just divine! It is made from 100% Lambswool and is still 'In the Oil' meaning it hasn't been as harshly scoured (washed), leaving most of the lanolin in the yarn. This leaves the yarn quite grippy, smelling delightfully sheepy, and as an extra bonus your hands get moisturised as you knit! And if you weren't sure it washes up softly.

Darnie is also super versatile. It's strong enough for non-nylon socks, it's an amazing colourwork yarn for beautiful yoked sweaters, or let the tweed fleck shine on it's own as Darnie loves texture too!
